Graphite Powder
For instance, graphite powder is suitable for thermally conductive plastics, adhesives, sealants or inorganic materials. Furthermore, due to the unique properties of graphite, it can also be used in electric, antistatic as well as mechanical applications.
The primary component of carbon powder is elemental carbon, which is soft and typically black or gray in color. It has a greasy texture and can stain paper. Its hardness ranges from 1 to 2 but can increase to 3-5 in the vertical direction as impurities increase. The specific gravity varies between 1.9 g/cm³ and 2.3 g/cm³. In the absence of oxygen, it has a melting point above 3000°C, making it one of the most heat-resistant minerals.
